Jess's ex vanishes in America

THE ex-boyfriend of Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas has vanished in the US, along with the bass player of his band The Follow.

Known as Azaria, the musician disappeared in Hollywood on Friday, along with bass player Kara Jayne Dickson, known as KJ, and have not been seen or contacted since.

Dickson was once the girlfriend of Craig Nicholls from The Vines.

The band�s management company, Worlds End Management, confirmed the duo�s disappearance on the band�s MySpace page.

According to reports, the band has now filed a missing persons report and is working with the Australian consulate in Los Angeles to find the missing musicians.

The band�s management said the two had been �on the edge for the last few weeks� and had been struggling to record an album when they vanished.

Others who have occupied the post of Oxford's Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theater at St. Catherine's College include composer Stephen Sondheim, playwright Alan Ayckbourn, actress Diana Rigg and lyricist Sir Tim Rice.

"It really is an honour for me to have been invited to follow such illustrious names and take up this role at Oxford," Spacey said in a statement.

"The university is steeped in tradition and has a great heritage in the arts, and I look forward to working with the students and staff."

The college's master, Professor Roger Ainsworth, called Spacey "a truly international star" who "will bring an enormous wealth of talent and experience in both film and theater to bear on the role".

Spacey has been the artistic director of The Old Vic Theater Company in London since 2003.

He recently was seen in the HBO television movie Recount, about the race for the US presidency in 2000 between Al Gore and George W Bush.

He also recently starred in movie thriller 21, playing an MIT professor with a team of card-counting poker players who make millions in Las Vegas casinos.

DiCaprio to play video game legend

Leonardo DiCaprio is to play one of the legends of the video game industry in a new biopic.
The Hollywood Reporter says that DiCaprio will play Nolan Bushnell, the founder of Atari, in the film 'Atari'.
Bushnell was an engineering student and games lover who went from fixing broken pinball machines to setting up Atari; he later sold the company to Warner Communications for $28m.
The trade daily says that DiCaprio's production company, Appian Way, will produce the film.

The origins of Agalloch date back to 1995 and the radioactive decay of the stripe Aeolachrymae. As that group died, three phoenixes emerged from the ashes, Sussurrus Inanis, Nothing, and Agalloch. Mixing black metallic element with atmospheric textures, gothic doom, and neo-folk and post-rock touches, the Portland, OR-based group cursorily developed a fanatical cult following. Their first demonstration, From Which of This Oak, was recorded in 1996; in 1998, they recorded another demo and shopped it around to labels. Witherspoon-Phillippe divorce clears final hurdle

LOS ANGELES —

Reese Witherspoon has sealed another deal: her divorce from fellow actor Ryan Phillippe. Documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles show the pair have resolved the remaining issues of their split. Exact details weren't filed, though the pair had indicated they wanted joint custody of their children, ages 8 and 4.

They opted for an uncontested divorce, which kept many of its particulars private.

Witherspoon cited "irreconcilable differences" when she filed for divorce in November 2006 after seven years of marriage.

The "Legally Blonde" actress won the best-actress Academy Award in 2006 for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in "Walk the Line." Phillippe, who appeared in "Igby Goes Down" and "Crash," most recently starred in "Stop-Loss."

Publicists for both actors didn't immediately return calls from The Associated Press on Friday.

Angelina Jolie - Jolie Feared Kids Would Wreck Pitt Relationship

Hollywood actress ANGELINA JOLIE feared having children with her partner BRAD PITT would wreck their relationship.

Jolie already had one adopted son, six-year-old Maddox, when she started dating Pitt in 2005, and the couple went on to adopt Pax, four, Zahara, two, and have their biological two-year-old Shiloh. They are also currently expecting twins.

But Jolie admits that she was initially hesitant to expand her family with Pitt, because she feared the stresses of more children would put a major strain on their relationship.

She tells Britain's Heat magazine, "You always wonder how having a lot of children in a fairly short space of time is going to affect your life together.

"You have less time together, you're always busy, you're often very tired in the evenings. So it's something that you either learn or adapt to, or you're going to be in trouble as a couple."

So the actress was delighted when, after expanding their brood, they continued to maintain a healthy partnership.

She adds, "We both grew into our role as parents and that eased a lot of my anxiety. What surprised me is how naturally Brad welcomed the responsibilities of being a father."
